Darwinson has a neurofibroma on the entire right side of his face and a prosthetic eye (partially operated – needs revision). He also has new and enlarged neurofibromas all over his body.
Since Darwinson lives in Venezuela under the most basic conditions, he cannot finance the trip to Germany himself. Due to the tense political and social situation in Venuzuela, it is impossible to plan an operation there. Darwinson has no family or other support and, despite massive complaints, has to live constantly in different places under the most basic conditions, which further aggravates his condition. He sometimes has to do heavy physical work to make a living. His face swells and he is in pain. In addition, his nutritional condition is very poor. A medical examination by the doctors of Interplast Germany e.V. is urgently needed.
Dr. André Borsche, Interplast Germany e.V., has agreed to take over the examination and operation for Darwinson Monzon, which is again necessary. The operation is planned in Bad Kreuznach. The stay in Bad Kreuznach is planned to be about four to six weeks, depending on the length of recovery. The association Interplast Germany e.V. will cover the costs of the patient’s stay in hospital as well as all operations and directly related treatments.
The flight tickets and the stay during the follow-up treatment have to be financed.
Please help us to support Darwinson and enable him to stay in Germany and have an examination/further operations with the doctors of Interplast Germany e.V..
